Are you a skilled professional looking for a challenging role that leverages your expertise in cloud-based database management? We have an exciting opportunity for an Azure Lead MS-SQL DBA to join our team.

We are seeking a highly experienced and talented individual to lead the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of Microsoft SQL Server databases within the Azure cloud environment. As an Azure Lead MS-SQL DBA, you will be responsible for ensuring the high availability, performance, and security of data for various applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provision, configure, and manage Azure SQL Databases, Managed Instances, and SQL Server on Azure Virtual Machines.
  • Design, implement, and monitor HA/DR strategies such as Always On Availability Groups, geo-replication, and failover groups to ensure business continuity and data resilience.
  • Plan and execute robust backup and restore operations, validate recovery procedures, and ensure compliance with Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO).
  • Monitor database performance using Azure Monitor, SQL Insights, and Query Store. Identify and resolve bottlenecks by optimizing queries, indexes, and resource allocation.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience working on Azure MS-SQL database
  • Lead administration experience with hands-on knowledge of managing Azure and on-prem MS-SQL Database and Cloud Admin activities
  • Experience in designing and architecture of Public cloud such as Oracle OCI or Azure
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and Transact-SQL (T-SQL)
  • Familiarity with automation tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Azure CLI)
