About the Role

This is a senior-level position that requires strategic legal guidance to stakeholders. The successful candidate will optimize debt management processes, ensuring they are ethical, compliant, and scalable.

The role involves overseeing and resolving debt-related disputes and litigation, coordinating with external counsel when needed. In-depth legal research is essential to support litigation strategies and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.

Collaboration with internal business, compliance, and legal teams is crucial to create practical solutions aligned with business objectives. Building and maintaining relationships with external legal partners and regulatory bodies ensures smooth legal operations.

  • Advise senior stakeholders on legal strategies for optimizing debt management processes.
  • Oversee and resolve debt-related disputes and litigation.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research to support litigation and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Work with internal teams to create practical solutions aligned with business goals.

The ideal candidate should have experience in litigation processes, civil procedure, and relevant laws and regulations in India. Experience in debt management in banks, NBFCs, or asset reconstruction companies is highly desirable.

Key qualifications include strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

High ethical standards, integrity, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality are essential.

A strong network of industry relationships with peers handling debt recovery in banks, NBFCs, or asset reconstruction companies will be beneficial.
