Lease Accounting Specialist Position Overview

The role of Lease Accounting Specialist is to maintain and update lease accounting schedules, prepare and post journal entries, and coordinate with various teams.

This position requires a strong understanding of ASC 842 and lease accounting principles, as well as proficiency in Excel and data analysis. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting and be comfortable working with large data sets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update lease accounting schedules in compliance with ASC 842
  • Prepare and post journal entries related to lease liabilities and right-of-use assets
  • Assist with the monthly close process and account reconciliations
  • Coordinate with Real Estate, Legal, and Accounts Payable teams
  • Monitor critical lease dates and ensure timely updates
