**Job Description:** Mortgage Origination Manager

We are seeking an experienced mortgage origination manager to lead our team and drive success in the US home loan products market.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mortgage origination, post-closing review, and correspondent experience, with a proven track record of delivering results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct day-to-day management of junior leaders, ensuring effective attendance, training, hiring, recruiting, and performance reviews.
  • Possess working knowledge and hands-on expertise for RESPA/TRID review and other federal, state, and industry compliance requirements.
  • Interface professionally with title companies, clients, real estate agents, mortgage loan officers, and mortgage lenders to ensure seamless closings.
  • Elevate customer service levels by assisting in the application process, overseeing all mortgage loan closings, and completing post-closing requirements efficiently.
  • Ensure future salability and quality control of residential mortgage loans and refinances by adhering to lender underwriting guidelines and federal/state regulations (for both origination & Correspondence).
  • Develop coaching and training programs for new and existing staff, focusing on continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Utilize quality assurance data to drive improvements in lender decision-making.
  • ID gaps and document processes/procedures to enhance efficiency.
  • Build a reporting suite for clear communication of performance to team members, peers, management, and Executive Leadership.
  • Maintain a keen eye on loan production pipeline monitoring and oversee administrative tasks (timecards, schedules, vacations, performance reviews).
  • Prepare and deliver action plans or correction actions when individual metrics are not met.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 72-84 months of mortgage origination (post-closing review, PQA etc) and correspondent experience in US home loan products.
  • Working knowledge of mortgage industry regulations; well-versed in TRID guidelines.
  • Management experience in human resources or operations management is essential.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good supervision, organization, and math skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and sound judgment skills for quick decisions within policy and standard operating procedures.
