Job Opportunity

Are you an expert in bridge design and engineering? We are seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in undertaking assessments of existing bridges, preparing assessment reports, and carrying out feasibility studies for strengthening and repair.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out design and assessment checks (Cat II or Cat III) under the guidance of a Senior or Principal Engineer
  • Prepare or assist others in compiling drawings, specifications, reports, and correspondence within given deadlines, including checking compliance with the project brief
  • Ensure the correct implementation of document control and QA processes are followed for issue and filing/archiving of all work carried out
  • Produce work to specified design standards, suggest revisions to standards as appropriate, ensure all relevant standards and guides are used in accordance with UK Design standards and QA processes
  • Use calculation templates and ensure calculation sheets comply with design standards
  • Continually strive to develop and increase skills in MIDAS, LUSAS, Superstress, SAM, ARCHIE
  • Share knowledge with immediate colleagues and disseminate information within the team
  • Participate in team meetings and learning sessions to communicate with other teams
