Role Description:

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of material requirements planning and inventory management. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring timely receipt of materials, including hardware, fabrication, casting, hoses, machining parts, and proprietary parts
  • Following up on material shortages that affect production
  • Implementing processes to agreed standards and targets, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
  • Utilizing the Material Requirements Planning system to ensure accurate and up-to-date data
  • Monitoring Bill of Materials (BOM) integrity and inventory accuracy
  • Monitoring inventory levels against agreed target levels
  • Minimizing obsolete stock and ensuring business liability is minimized
  • Generating and communicating supplier material delivery schedules and forecasts
  • Developing and maintaining good relationships with suppliers
  • Resolving supplier concerns and evaluating supplier performance

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to form and maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
