Job Summary:

Celeros Flow Technology is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Logistics Manager to lead the deployment of strategies that add critical competitive commercial advantage to our brands. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, logistics, and supply chain management, with a proven track record of driving cost savings and improving efficiency. This role will be responsible for managing all aspects of material flow, including inventory control, supplier quality, and cost reduction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies to drive cost savings and improve margins.
  • Review and process purchase orders for components and materials.
  • Plan, procure, and negotiate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Foster strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders to drive collaboration and mutual success.
  • Responsible for contract management and negotiations with suppliers.
  • Create and execute material logistic strategies to manage inventory and control excess and obsolete materials.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for inventory and purchasing modules of our business system.
  • Ensure optimal focus on price savings, rebates, group redistribution, and commitments.
  • Oversee the procurement function using acceptable purchasing practices.
  • Work with employees and managers to procure appropriate supplies and equipment within agreed-upon time frames.
  • Coordinate with fellow managers to monitor inventory and determine supply needs.
  • Lead the standardization of supplies and equipment within the organization.
  • Lead the resolution of equipment and supply quality and service problems with vendors.
  • Maintain a professional environment in interactions with vendors.
  • Responsible for selecting suppliers based on quality of service and cost to the organization.
  • Coordinate the reconciliation process for invoices with the Accounts Payable department.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual departmental operating and capital budgets.
  • Coach, lead, and develop team members to ensure organizational goals and objectives are met.
  • Responsible for fulfilling all compliances related to procurement and supply chain.

Requirements:

  • Analytical capability to interpret and present data.
  • Maintain and provide current understanding of industry best practices and technology trends.
  • Knowledge of Material Management System.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Identify tools, processes, and metrics to optimize supplier value.
  • Leads by example and motivates people to create a challenging, empowering, and collaborative working environment.
  • Ability to determine appropriate course of action in more complex situations.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise creativity, be attentive to detail, and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Ability to manage multiple and simultaneous responsibilities and to prioritize scheduling of work.
  • Excellent technical writing, documentation, and record-keeping skills.
  • Expertise in project planning & execution along with coordination of concern departments.
  • Excellent analytical problem-solving ability and leverage metrics and other tools to drive supplier performance.
  • Ability to contribute in a cross-functional collaborative environment.
  • Financial skills including cost modeling, cost analysis, make vs. buy analysis.
  • Ability to directly understand and relate the impact of the function to the wider organization.
  • Good interpersonal, organizational skills, negotiation skills, attention to detail, and a high level of accuracy.

Education and Experience:

  • Masters in related field would be desirable as would a formally engineering background.
  • Diploma In material Management.
  • Depth of knowledge and experience in Strategic, Operational and Tactical Global Procurement and Project, Supply Chain Management Principles & Fundamentals and compliances.
  • Strong background in the management of materials and sourcing within a design and manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in total quality, lean, six sigma, or other similar environments.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of ERP/MRP systems and their use in a manufacturing environment — SAP is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to demonstrate solid written and oral communication skills.

Physical Demands:

  • To successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Required daily to stand, sit, walk, talk, hear, and see (specific close vision abilities are required to perform computer work).
  • Required occasionally to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
  • Required regularly to travel (usually by air or road so may be required to sit for extended periods), specifically to support other sites referenced in this description. Travel approximately 10-20%.
  • Required daily to use hands and fingers and arms to reach (to operate a computer and telephone).
  • Required occasionally to lift and/or move objects that are light to moderate.
