Senior Java Developer Position

We are seeking an experienced and skilled senior Java developer to join our team. As a senior developer, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of complex software systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop complex software systems using Java and relevant frameworks.
  • Lead the design discussion and explain design or design issues to relevant stakeholders.
  • Communicate with project teams to resolve technical or application issues related to delivery of projects.
  • Ensure that delivered projects meet agreed quality expectations and are compliant with all relevant internal instructions and external regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand project requirements and work on technical delivery.
  • Escalate any issues or risks highlighted in testing to ensure timely resolution.
  • Comply with HSBC policies and procedures and identify opportunities for automation.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience as a full-stack Java/J2EE web developer with diversified exposure in analysis, design, development, and implementation of web-based applications.
  • Experience with Java SE, including collection, threading, and core Java.
  • Extensive knowledge of Spring Core, including dependency injection, annotations, and XML-based configurations.
  • Good experience with RESTful web services and Apache Tomcat.
  • Proficient at design and development of web-based applications using Docker orchestration and Kubernetes.
