Role : Senior Java Developer

Location : Yerawada, Pune

Work Type: Hybrid (3 days a week in-office)

Experience : 8+ years of professional experience in software development

Notice Period : 30 days or below

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and Development : Architect, develop, and maintain high-performance, low-latency, and high volume enterprise applications using Java 8 or 11, leveraging features like lambda expressions, Stream API, and Completable Future.

- Microservices Implementation : Build and optimize APIs and microservices using Spring Boot, ensuring scalability and reliability.

- Asynchronous Programming : Implement multithreaded and asynchronous solutions to meet performance requirements.

- CI/CD and Testing : Drive shift-left testing practices and contribute to the design and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and Sonar.

- Database Management : Work with SQL databases (e.g., Oracle DB, Sybase IQ, DB2) for data sourcing, modeling, and enrichment.

- System Design : Collaborate on systems design to create robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions.

- Cloud Integration : Develop and deploy applications on cloud platforms, preferably AWS.

- Collaboration and Communication : Engage with clients and cross-functional teams, leveraging strong verbal and written communication skills to deliver consultancy-driven solutions.

- Mentorship : Guide junior developers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence.

- Innovation : Stay updated with emerging technologies and propose improvements to existing systems and processes.

Core Requirements :

- 5+ years of Java development in an enterprise-level domain.

- Proficiency in Java 8 (Java 11 preferred), including lambda expressions, Stream API, and Expertise in developing low-latency, high-volume applications.

- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and shift-left testing practices.

- Experience with asynchronous programming, multithreading, APIs, and microservices (Spring Boot).

- Proficiency in SQL and experience with data sourcing, modeling, and enrichment.

- Hands-on experience with systems design and cloud computing (preferably AWS).

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with client-facing consultancy experience.

- Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving and initiative-taking.

- Solid experience with at least two of the following :

1. Kafka (Core Concepts, Replication & Reliability, Kafka Internals, Infrastructure & Control, Data Retention, and Durability)

2. MongoDB

3. Sonar

4. Jenkins

5. Oracle DB, Sybase IQ, or DB2

6. Drools or any rules engine

7. CMS tools like Adobe AEM

8. Search tools like Algolia or ElasticSearch

Nice to Have :

- Experience with Golang and/or Rust.

- Familiarity with payments or asset/wealth management domains.

- Mature server-side development experience with frameworks like Spring.

- Proven enterprise experience building scalable products and working with remote teams.
