Key Responsibilities and Major Activities
  • Production Planning and Control:
  • Formulate, schedule, and supervise the entire production process to ensure seamless operation.
  • Effectively manage production lines to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Plan production meetings, worker schedules, and machine maintenance to prevent downtime and reduce costs.
  • Cost and Quality Management:
  • Maintain cost-effective and high-quality production standards by optimizing raw material utilization and reducing waste generation.
  • Drive continuous improvement and implement best practices to enhance product quality and minimize defects.
  • Delivery and Customer Satisfaction:
  • Ensure 100% OTIF (On-Time In-Full) customer delivery by managing production schedules and supply chain logistics effectively.
  • Achieve improvement in conversion costs and product quality by implementing lean manufacturing techniques and eliminating waste.
  • Equipment and Process Control:
  • Select and maintain production equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Supervise and enforce product standards and quality control programs to maintain consistency and quality.
  • Implement contamination control measures to maintain clean class standards and ensure product safety.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Enforce safety rules and standards across the department to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure plant operations are ISO certified and environmentally compliant by implementing sustainable practices and minimizing environmental impact.
  • Support Process Safety Management (PSM) in all operations to achieve zero accidents and ensure safety compliance.
  • Process Standardization and Improvement:
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to standardize processes and improve efficiency.
  • Monitor adherence to procedures to ensure first-pass quality and eliminate defects.
  • Continuously improve process capability and efficiency by analyzing data and implementing improvements.
  • People Management and Coordination:
  • Liaise with internal departments to avoid delays and ensure smooth coordination of activities.
  • Lead, supervise, and review performance of production teams to foster employee satisfaction and development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • BE/B.Tech in Chemical or Polymer Engineering
