Job Title: Rolling Stock Professional

Are you a seasoned electrical engineer looking for a challenging role in the rail industry? As a Rolling Stock Professional, you will have the opportunity to design and develop innovative power electronic traction and auxiliary converters/inverters that propel the future of transportation. With your expertise in electrical engineering, you will play a vital role in shaping the development of sustainable mobility solutions.

In this position, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, developing, validating, and introducing power electronic traction and auxiliary converters/inverters for rail applications according to customer specifications. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing converter/inverter designs for rail and industry applications with 5-15 years of experience
  • Designing and developing power schemes, system simulations & validation of power electronic converters
  • Selecting and designing components such as magnetics, heat sinks, capacitors, contactors, resistors, fuses, blowers, low inductive busbars, cables etc.
  • Generating component specifications and test strategies
  • Applying cooling technologies (Air and Water Cooled)
  • Implementing PLM processes, FMEA, and knowledge of various IEC, EN, and IS standards applicable for the Rail Industry
  • Project planning and execution
  • Monitoring and executing cost reduction measures

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent skills in electrical system design, electronic circuit design, power electronics, and control electronics. You should also be proficient in design calculations for selecting electric and electronic components, PLM project management, and designing low-cost components and product costing.

A successful candidate will have strong communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Proficiency in software tools such as MATLAB, Mathcad, ELCAD, EPLAN, SAP, and Teamcenter is highly desirable.
