The role of a Maintenance Engineer is to ensure the smooth operation of equipment and systems within a unit or area assigned.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Operation and maintenance of AHU's, ventilation units, utilities like chiller, air compressor, DG, pumps, cooling towers, and piping of all utilities
  • Maintenance and minor repair of lab equipment

Other key duties include:

  • Ensuring completion of scheduled PPMs in a timely manner
  • Preparation of annual PPM plans and schedules
  • Attending breakdowns immediately and minimizing downtime
  • Coordinating with purchase for required materials
  • Tracking inventory levels for equipment spares and consumables

The Maintenance Engineer must also ensure GMP compliance and maintain a clean and presentable workspace.

Effective communication with users and team members is essential for success in this role.

A continuous improvement mindset is encouraged to identify opportunities for energy savings and process improvements.

Regular reporting to management is required to ensure transparency and accountability.

This position requires strong project management skills to execute minor projects under guidance from technical managers and clients.
