Job Description:

The key objective of this role is to drive the collection process across multiple sources, reducing outstanding amounts and associated average days. The goal is to maintain client relationships while achieving desired outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Correspond with clients to negotiate payment schedules that suit their financial situation.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, control delinquency, and focus on non-starters.
  • Provide excellent customer service regarding collection issues, process refunds, account adjustments, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain customer account details for irregularities, make calls, adjust accounts, write off small balances, reconcile, and process credit memos as needed.
  • Update customer files, recording contact history and noting received information about debt.
  • Coordinate with tracing teams to locate defaulters and suggest remedial actions.
  • Identify defaulting accounts, investigate reasons, and maintain healthy customer relationships.
  • Engage sales and senior management when necessary to accelerate the collection process, including repossessing assets and seeking support from legal and law enforcement agencies if required.
  • Ensure compliance with audit and regulatory bodies, as well as company policies and procedures.
