Lead Residential Mortgage Loan Operations

As a seasoned mortgage professional, you will oversee the day-to-day management of team members, ensuring successful mortgage loan closings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Direct and manage team members' performance, training, hiring, recruiting, and attendance.
  • Mortgage Knowledge: Possess in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with federal, state, and industry compliance requirements, including RESPA/TRID review.
  • Customer Interface: Collaborate professionally with title companies, clients, real estate agents, mortgage loan officers, and lenders to ensure a seamless close.
  • Service Excellence: Elevate customer satisfaction by assisting in the application process, overseeing all mortgage loan closings, and completing post-closing requirements efficiently.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure future salability and quality control of residential mortgage loans and refinances by adhering to lender underwriting guidelines and regulations.
  • Coaching and Training: Develop and implement coaching programs for new and existing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Process Improvement: Identify gaps in processes and procedures and assist in documenting improvements.
  • Performance Metrics: Develop a reporting suite to communicate performance metrics to team members, peers, management, and leadership.
  • Loan Production Pipeline: Monitor and oversee the loan production pipeline to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Department Goals: Ensure that all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the department are met.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 6-8 years of experience in mortgage origination, including post-closing review and correspondent experience.
  • Working knowledge of mortgage industry regulations, including TRID guidelines.
  • Management experience in human resources or operations is required.
  • Exceptional communication and supervision skills.
  • Good organization and math skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and sound judgment skills.
