Job Opportunity

A seasoned Data Architect is needed to design, implement and optimize data architectures to meet the evolving needs of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design conceptual and logical data systems ensuring they meet both current and future business requirements.
  • Create and maintain data models using Snowflake, ensuring data integrity, performance and security.
  • Develop and oversee end-to-end data solutions, including data ingestion, transformation, storage and access.
  • Work closely with stakeholders, data scientists and engineers to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Monitor and improve data system performance, addressing any issues related to scalability, efficiency and data quality.
  • Ensure data architectures comply with data governance policies, standards and industry regulations.
  • Stay current with emerging data technologies and assess their potential impact and value to the organization.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior data architects and engineers.

Requirements:

  • 8-12 years of experience in data architecture and data modeling in Snowflake.
  • Proficiency in Snowflake data warehousing platform.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, including normalization, denormalization, star schema and snowflake schema.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT processes and tools.
  • Familiarity with data governance and data security best practices.
  • Knowledge of SQL and performance tuning for large-scale data systems.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, AWS, Azure or GCP, and related data services.

Nice to Have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
  • Certifications in Snowflake or other relevant industry certifications.
  • Industry experience in Finance and Cards/Payments.
