About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Director of College Guidance to join our team at Pathways World School. As a key member of our admissions team, you will play a crucial role in guiding students through the college application process.

Key Responsibilities

  • College Application Support: Provide comprehensive guidance to students on college applications, including forms, deadlines, and requirements.
  • Essay Writing and Resume Development: Assist students in crafting compelling essays and resumes that showcase their skills and experiences.
  • Interview Preparation: Prepare students for interviews by helping them develop strong responses to common questions.
  • University Liaison: Establish and maintain relationships with university admissions offices to facilitate student applications.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Workshops and Seminars: Plan and execute workshops and seminars on topics such as college selection, application processes, scholarship opportunities, and career planning.
  • Information Resource Management: Maintain up-to-date information on colleges, universities, and scholarship opportunities.
  • Collaboration with School Staff: Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to identify students in need of additional support.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Keep accurate records of counselling sessions, student progress, and college applications.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 10-15 Years of Experience: A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an IB school setting.
  • CIALFO Platform Expertise: Strong knowledge of the CIALFO college application platform and ability to ensure timely dispatch of all school documents to universities.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
