**Energy and Carbon Specialist Role Overview**

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced professional to join our organisation and contribute to delivering our ambitious Net Zero goals.

You will be responsible for providing specialist services in building energy and carbon management, working with a range of clients across the public and private sectors.

The successful candidate will have a strong grounding in building operations, services, physics, energy analytics, and low and zero carbon energy generation technologies.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting on-site energy audits and modelling buildings' energy performance using IES-VE software
  • Producing detailed energy audit reports and Building Regulations Part L documents
  • Developing and modelling energy and carbon saving measures
  • Carrying out CRREM tool analysis and providing strategic energy and carbon compliance risk reduction advice
  • Assisting clients in understanding energy and carbon implications in the context of wider sustainability drivers

**Requirements and Qualifications**

We are looking for a highly skilled individual with:

  • A degree in Sustainability, Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering
  • 5-10 years of experience in the building energy and carbon sector, with a strong understanding of technical and commercial matters
  • EPC experience and current NDEA accreditation (an advantage)
  • Expertise in IES VE software and Building Regulations policies
  • Strong technical knowledge of buildings and the built environment, including the impact of sustainability themes on core investment and asset management
  • An understanding of sustainability from a policy and regulatory perspective
  • Excellent people skills, coaching, and collaboration abilities
  • A personable and proactive attitude
