Job Title: Senior Consultant Building Energy

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant to join our team in the building energy and carbon sector. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of technical and commercial matters, with a focus on delivering high-quality energy audit reports and Building Regulations Part L reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct on-site energy audits to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for reducing energy consumption.
  • Model buildings' energy performance using IES-VE software to inform decision-making and optimize energy efficiency.
  • Produce comprehensive energy audit reports, Building Regulations Part L reports, and Non-Domestic or Domestic Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) that meet regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and model energy and carbon saving implementation measures to support clients in achieving their sustainability goals.
  • Analyze data from the CRREM tool to inform strategic energy and carbon compliance risk reduction advice.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their energy and carbon needs and provide tailored solutions to address these challenges.
Requirements:
  • Hold a degree in Sustainability, Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
  • Have at least 5 years of experience working on a range of projects in the building energy and carbon sector, with a strong understanding of technical and commercial matters.
  • Possess EPC experience and hold a current NDEA accreditation (advantageous).
  • Have expertise in IES VE software and experience of Building Regulations and policies.
  • Demonstrate strong technical expertise in buildings and the wider built environment, including the impact of sustainability themes on core investment and management of assets in the property sector.
  • Display an understanding of the wider context of sustainability from a policy and regulatory perspective.
  • Possess excellent people skills and coaching abilities, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Be personable and demonstrate a 'can-do' attitude.
  • Hold a Sustainability or engineering degree or equivalent experience.
