Fire Service Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Service Designer to join our team. As a Fire Service Designer, you will be responsible for planning and designing all building services elements of the fire discipline.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and calculation knowledge based on NFPA, IS, BS standards, middle east standards, and local regulations.
  • Knowledge of other Saudi, Bahrain/Qatar regulations, such as UAE fire code and SBC fire code regulations, is an added advantage.
  • Ensure all design/modelling work is carried out in accordance with quality standard procedures.
  • Produce all design output and coordinate seamlessly between other sections/disciplines.
  • Complete design deliverables within time limits.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Fire Safety Engineering.
  • 4-6 years of experience in firefighting/gas services engineering design and MEP services.
  • Experience in high-rise buildings/shopping malls/hotels/metro projects.
  • Design expertise in internal/external firefighting systems, sprinkler/spray systems, internal/external hydrant systems, fire extinguisher systems, foam sprinkler design, and clean agent gas suppression system design.
  • Proficiency in producing and checking drawings/calculations.
  • Good knowledge of relevant international codes and regulations.
  • Ability to handle modelling design independently and work efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise directly with clients.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks.
  • Knowledge of AECOsim/Open Building Bentley software is an added advantage.
  • Good knowledge of hydraulic calculation software such as Pipe-NET/Elite-Fire is an added advantage.
