Senior General Manager

This role oversees the company's legal aspects, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations in the residential sector.

• Legal Strategy & Regulatory Compliance: Develop and implement legal frameworks, risk mitigation strategies, and compliance policies aligned with business objectives. Ensure full compliance with RERA, local real estate regulations, conduct legal risk assessments, audits, and governance reviews across Residential vertical.
• Real Estate Transactions & Due Diligence: Oversee legal due diligence for land acquisitions, property investments for residential properties. Ensure clear land titles, provide legal support for township projects, mixed-use developments, Special Economic Zones (SEZs). Structure and negotiate land purchase agreements, joint development agreements (JDA), leasehold transactions.
• Litigation & Dispute Resolution: Lead address litigations arising out of disputes related to property, contracts, tenant agreements. Represent the company in civil, commercial, arbitration, other proceedings, including NCLT, consumer forums, RERA, Appellate tribunals, HC, Supreme Court. Collaborate with senior counsel, external law firms, regulatory authorities resolve high-value disputes efficiently.
• Contract Management & Legal Documentation: Draft, review, negotiate complex real estate agreements across Residential sector including: Joint Development Agreements (JDA) & Joint Venture Agreements (JVA) Sale Deeds, Conveyance Deeds, Lease Agreements Construction, Vendor & Contractor Agreements Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) & Licensing Agreements Mortgage Deeds, Loan Documentation, Escrow Agreements Marketing, Brokerage & Franchise Agreements Facilities Management & Service Level Agreements (SLA) End customer documentation It related documents Trade Marks Establish contract review mechanisms protect business interests minimize risks.
• Risk Management: Develop legal risk mitigation frameworks protect company assets brand reputation. Advise Board of Directors Executive Leadership on legal risks, regulatory matters.
• Stakeholder & External Counsel Management: Support Business Development team structuring joint ventures, investor agreements, large-scale real estate deals. Collaborate Liaison team obtain necessary government approvals regulatory clearances. Partner Design Project teams ensure project execution aligns legal regulatory guidelines. Coordinate CRM Estate Connect team, completion sale handing over. Engage government bodies regulatory agencies industry associations advocate favorable policies. Manage external legal engagements senior advocates law firms arbitration panels. Act legal representative corporate negotiations regulatory discussions industry forums.
• Team Management & Development: Lead mentor develop high-performing legal team support company growth compliance requirements. Define KPIs performance evaluation metrics training programs legal team members. Promote culture continuous learning legal excellence proactive risk management. Ensure knowledge-sharing within team regarding new legal updates real estate regulations corporate governance.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education LLB Bachelor of Law or LLM Master of Law preferred. Corporate experience Real Estate required. Experience 20+ years legal experience, at least 5+ years leadership role. Proven expertise real estate law land acquisition litigation regulatory compliance. Strong experience handling Residential projects.
