Database Administrator Position

About the Role:

This is a high-level technical position that involves managing and maintaining databases across various environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in database administration, including implementation, design, development, testing, and performance tuning.

The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively with technical teams and stakeholders, providing expert guidance on database-related matters.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Database Administrator to join our production support and full-lifecycle implementation team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our databases, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing best practices to optimize performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Database Design, Development, Testing, and Performance Tuning
  • Implementation of Database Systems Across Various Environments
  • Ensuring High-Availability and Disaster Recovery Capabilities
  • Developing and Implementing Automation Scripts to Enhance Efficiency
  • Providing Expert Guidance on Database-Related Matters to Technical Teams and Stakeholders
  • Maintaining Strong Communication Channels with Cross-Functional Teams

Requirements:

  • 5+ Years of Experience in Database Administration
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience Required
  • Strong Knowledge of Oracle Exadata and Data Guard
  • Able to Understand and Meet Needs of End Users
  • Able to Work with Multiple Projects in a Dynamic Environment
  • Experience in Managing Databases in Cloud Environments
  • Experience in Writing Shell Scripts
  • Oracle Certification Can Be a Plus
