Key Responsibilities:
  • Collection Development: Develop seasonal collections aligned with our brand identity and consumer needs.
  • Trend Analysis: Translate global trends, consumer insights, and brand strategy into product lines.
  • Product Innovation: Ensure innovation in fabrics, silhouettes, and functionality for athleisure and lifestyle segments.
  • Sampling and Quality Control: Oversee sampling, prototyping, and quality benchmarking.
  • Assortment Strategy: Define assortment strategies across categories, price points, and channels (D2C, marketplace, retail).
  • Supplier Partnerships: Build supplier/vendor partnerships for fabrics, trims, and finished goods.
  • Vendor Negotiations: Negotiate costs, MOQs, and timelines to optimize margins and speed.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain balanced inventory: fast movers, core basics, and newness.
  • Team Leadership: Collaborate closely with Marketing, Operations, and Finance to ensure design and buying plans meet growth and profitability targets.
  • Calendar Discipline: Drive calendar discipline—ensuring timely launches and refreshes.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze sales & performance data to refine designs and buying decisions.
  • Mentorship: Mentor and build a high-performing team of designers and buyers.
Requirements:
  • ~10 years of experience in D2C fashion design, buying, or merchandising—athleisure/activewear experience in men's and women's wear.
  • Strong eye for fashion trends, consumer behavior, and product innovation.
  • Proven ability to balance design aesthetics with commercial outcomes.
  • Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills.
  • Leadership experience in managing teams and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Degree in Fashion Design/Merchandising/Business or related field.
