Revenue Recognition Senior Associate Job Summary

The Senior Revenue Recognition Associate will be responsible for performing detailed reviews of contracts to ensure revenue recognition is in accordance with applicable accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough contract reviews to verify revenue recognition compliance.
  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries related to revenue and associated accounts.
  • Assist with quarterly and annual external audits, providing supporting documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Maintain multiple internal relationships, including operations, general ledger accounting, IT, etc.
  • Perform various ad hoc revenue analysis and reporting as needed.
  • Lead special projects as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor of Commerce graduate.
  • 5-7 years of experience in accounting, preferably revenue accounting.
  • Public accounting and/or professional services or IT industry experience highly preferred.
  • CA / CPA or pursuing a CA/CPA a plus.

About the Ideal Candidate:

  • Possesses a strong understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition standard and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Demonstrates solid oral and written communication skills, detail-oriented, and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines of a public company accounting organization.
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong computer skills including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Workday experience a plus.
