Job Title: Senior Backend Developer for Insurance Solutions

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Backend Developer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will play a vital role in designing and implementing backend components and microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and NodeJS for core insurance processes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing RESTful and SOAP APIs for integration with frontend, third-party, and COTS platforms.
  • Collaborating with frontend, data, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end digital solutions.
  • Utilizing batch processing tools for scheduled insurance operations and reporting.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • JLPT N3 or N2 certification and fluency in reading, writing, and conversing in Japanese with native speakers.
  • 5-10 years of IT experience in Application Design, Development, Testing, and Maintenance projects.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience in Java technologies including Core Java, Spring Boot, NodeJS, MySQL database, Postgress database, NPM, Maven, VS Code, IntelliJ Idea, GitHub.

To succeed in this role, you must be able to effectively coordinate with Customer SMEs, Onsite and Offshore teams, and contribute towards various Transformation initiatives to achieve project goals. Experience in Agile methodology, DevOps, Security vulnerability management, and P&C Insurance domain knowledge is desirable.
