About the Role">

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Data Developer to join our team. As a key member of our data engineering unit, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing robust and scalable data pipelines and ELT solutions using Snowflake and Matillion ETL.

The ideal candidate should have extensive hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture, features (such as Time Travel, Zero-Copy Cloning, Snowpipe), and Snowflake SQL. Proven experience designing, developing, and managing data pipelines using the Matillion ETL tool is also essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Transformation

Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and views for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ELT) within Snowflake.

Matillion Expertise

Create and manage complex orchestration and transformation jobs in Matillion to build efficient and reliable data pipelines.

Performance Tuning

Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot performance issues within the Snowflake environment, optimizing queries, warehouses, and overall data architecture.

Data Modeling

Apply advanced data modeling techniques (such as star schema, snowflake schema) to design and build data marts and data warehouses.

Integration

Integrate Snowflake with various data sources (on-premise databases, cloud storage, APIs) and third-party tools.

Collaboration

Work closely with data engineers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and data solutions.

Security & Governance

Implement and manage data security, role-based access control (RBAC), and data sharing policies in Snowflake.

Automation & Best Practices

Automate data workflows, implement CI/CD pipelines, and enforce best practices for code management and data governance.

Requirements
  • Experience

12-15 years of professional experience in data warehousing, data engineering, or a related field.

Snowflake Proficiency

Extensive hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture, features, and Snowflake SQL.

Matillion Expertise

Proven experience designing, developing, and managing data pipelines using the Matillion ETL tool.

Cloud Platforms

Strong knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Data Warehousing

In-depth understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.

SQL Skills

Exceptional proficiency in writing and optimizing complex, performant SQL queries.

Scripting

Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Shell scripting for automation and custom development is a plus.
