Centre Director Position

The Centre for Capital Markets is an initiative housed in the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.

Our mission is to foster education, research, training, and innovation in financial markets, fintech, quantitative finance, and investment management.

Job Purpose
  • The Centre Director will lead strategic, academic, and operational initiatives.
  • The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader with experience in academia, research management, or financial services industry.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership
  1. Formulate and execute long-term vision and strategy.
  2. Develop programs aligned with the Centre's mandate in financial markets research and education.
Education and Research Program Management
  1. Support research projects, working papers, and publications in financial markets and related areas.
  2. Support faculty-led research, student engagement, and visiting scholar initiatives.
  3. Organize training programs, workshops, seminars, conferences, and certificate courses.
Industry and Stakeholder Engagement
  1. Build partnerships with financial institutions, statutory bodies, regulatory institutions, industry associations, and other organizations.
  2. Organize seminars, panel discussions, and talks/lectures by industry experts.
Operational Oversight
  1. Manage day-to-day administration including budgeting, reporting, and resource planning.
  2. Supervise support staff, interns, and research associates.
Communication and Outreach
  1. Oversee the Centre's visibility, including publications, newsletters, and website updates.
  2. Represent the Centre at conferences, academic forums, and industry meetings.
