Job Title: Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and preparing working drawings for HVAC systems in commercial and light industrial buildings.

This is a challenging role that requires a strong understanding of HVAC design principles, as well as excellent communication and coordination skills. If you have a passion for innovative design and a commitment to delivering high-quality results, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Development: Create accurate HVAC working drawings per project standards, ensuring compliance with contract documents and coordinating with other services.
  • Technical Coordination: Coordinate with civil, architectural, electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting layouts to ensure seamless integration of systems.
  • Issue Resolution: Resolve technical issues with site teams in a timely and professional manner.
  • Documentation: Maintain ISO documentation and drawing logs, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Support Functions: Support quantity take-offs and drawing approvals, monitor productivity, and assist in QA/QC processes.
  • Additional Work Identification: Identify additional work and inform the Project Manager promptly.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • HVAC Knowledge: Strong knowledge of HVAC design principles, including chillers, AHUs, VAVs, FCUs, ventilation, and smoke control.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in HVAC calculations and software (e.g., HAP), with knowledge of Revit and Navisworks a plus.
  • Education: B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, with HVAC training certification preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • MPE Systems Understanding: Understanding of related MEP systems, including electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting systems.
