Our Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Manager to lead our biofuel facility. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of plant operations, including commissioning, maintenance, and optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plant Commissioning: Ensure smooth plant setup and commissioning, including utilities readiness, pre-start checks, start-up, performance ramp-up, and stabilization.
  • Technology Verification: Diligence and validation of process technologies/vendors, including pilot data review, PFD/P&ID checks, HAZOP actions, FAT/SAT, performance guarantees, energy/mass balance, and lifecycle OPEX.
  • Optimize Process Performance: Improve digestion, gas cleanup/upgrading (H₂S/CO₂ removal), compression, storage/dispensing, and utilities.
  • Reliability and Maintenance: Establish preventive/predictive maintenance, run RCAs, and drive reliability (MTBF/MTTR).
  • Project Management: Manage EPCs and contractors; control scope, change, and debottlenecking projects.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure EHS & statutory compliance; own SOPs, PTW, emergency response, and audit readiness.
  • Team Leadership: Build and mentor O&M teams.
  • Data-Driven Improvements: Own DCS/SCADA KPIs and MIS reporting; drive data-led improvements and cost control.

Requirements:

  • Leadership Experience: Extensive experience leading plant setup/commissioning and operations in biofuel/biogas/CBG or closely related continuous-process industries.
  • Technical Expertise: Proven technology evaluation/verification experience.
  • Troubleshooting Skills: Strong troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical & instrumentation.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Solid command of EHS, environmental norms, and compliance.
  • Leadership and Communication: Demonstrated team leadership, stakeholder management, and crisp communication.
  • Education: Bachelor's in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering (or related).

This is an on-site role at our facility with flexibility during start-ups/turnarounds.
