Port Infrastructure Structural Engineer

This is a pivotal role in the development and modernization of port infrastructure. As a seasoned structural engineer, you will lead high-profile projects, ensuring timely completion, quality standards, and compliance with regulatory guidelines.

  • Main Responsibilities:
    • Design, analyze, and execute key structural components for port infrastructure, including breakwaters, jetties, quays, docks, and seawalls.
    • Provide technical leadership and oversight for project execution, ensuring adherence to budget constraints and project timelines.
    • Collaborate with contractors, consultants, government agencies, and engineers to ensure seamless coordination and integration of structural designs.
    • Oversee risk mitigation strategies and safety measures, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and safety standards.
    • Supervise construction activities on-site, providing technical guidance, resolving issues, and ensuring high-quality standards for structural integrity and sustainability.
    • Implement advanced structural engineering principles to optimize designs for cost-effectiveness, resilience, and environmental sustainability.
    • Prepare progress reports, design reviews, and technical documentation for stakeholders, ensuring transparency and compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.

To excel in this role, you should have a strong background in structural engineering, project management, and marine infrastructure. Proficiency in software such as STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE is highly desirable. Your ability to lead teams, collaborate with stakeholders, and manage multiple projects simultaneously will be essential in driving success.

Required Skills and Qualifications

As a Port Infrastructure Structural Engineer, you will need:

  • Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience in project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
