Backend Developer

The role of a Backend Developer is to design, implement, and maintain the server-side logic, database integration, and API connectivity for enterprise applications. This includes architecting, building, and deploying scalable, secure, and reliable systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement backend services using Python or Node.js frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs for enterprise apps.
  • Integrate applications with relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms.
  • Optimize backend performance with caching, query tuning, and async processing.
  • Build modular, reusable, and testable backend code.
  • Deploy applications in cloud environments.
  • Work with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines and containerization.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong programming experience in Python or Node.js.
  • Proficiency in SQL databases and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with ORM tools.
  • Knowledge of API best practices.
  • Understanding of enterprise system architecture.
  • Familiarity with asynchronous programming.
  • Strong debugging and optimization skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with message brokers.
  • Knowledge of event-driven architectures.
  • Exposure to DevOps tools.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of backend development experience.
  • Proven ability to deliver secure and scalable systems.
