Senior PostgreSQL Engineer Position

At our organization, we're looking for a Senior PostgreSQL Support Engineer (Level 3/4 Escalation) to join our team.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the final escalation point for complex incidents such as performance degradation, data corruption investigations, large-scale failovers, advanced replication scenarios, and more.
  • Design and automate PostgreSQL in Kubernetes deployments with Operators, crafting Helm charts, CRDs, and automation through Terraform or Ansible.
  • Profile slow queries, balance workloads, and architect capacity planning.
  • Build and operate resilient clusters with Patroni, repmgr, streaming replication, synchronous replication, and DR strategies.
  • Architect end-to-end monitoring pipelines in Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, VictoriaMetrics, and integrate with ELK/EFK stacks for logs and traces.
  • Implement encryption at rest (TDE, LUKS), TLS in transit, role-based access control, and audit logging to meet GDPR, SOC 2, HIPAA, or ISO 27001 requirements.
  • Mentor junior engineers in best practices like schema design, indexing strategies, partitioning, and PL/pgSQL development patterns.
