This is a senior-level technical position that requires expertise in high-voltage cable design and engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough reviews of technical sourcing requests from internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Design and optimize high-voltage cables, leveraging supplier capabilities to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal customers to convert customer inquiries into actionable sourcing requests, ensuring seamless communication and timely resolution.
  • Perform short circuit calculations using Excel to determine wire screen/metal sheath sizes, and verify conductor sizes using CYMCAP.
  • Calculate drum length using the drum length calculation tool (Excel) to optimize cable utilization and reduce waste.
  • Verify technical data sheets from suppliers, documenting prequalification and type test coverage for offered cables.
  • Ensure all external customer documents align with the marketing strategy, maintaining consistency and brand integrity.
  • Develop Quality Control Plans and Inspection Test Plans with suppliers to ensure compliance and quality assurance.
  • Review and accept quality records from suppliers, witnessing routine tests to guarantee product reliability.
  • Prepare type tests and identify areas for improvement to enhance overall cable design and production.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in high-voltage cable design and engineering.
