We're seeking a skilled Senior Software Tester to join our team. As a key member, you'll be responsible for delivering automated tests in core technologies, creating test documentation, defining test scope, and identifying risks.
This role is ideal for someone with 6 years of commercial experience in manual and automation testing, as well as 3 years of experience in test automation.
The successful candidate will have excellent understanding of testing techniques, strong experience with manual testing, and some experience in non-functional testing.
They will also possess good knowledge of at least one JavaScript programming language, excellent communication skills, and the ability to explain complicated technical concepts to non-technical people.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver automated tests in core technologies.
- Create test documentation.
- Define test scope for the tested area and identify risks.
- Define and improve QA processes.
- Support other team members.
- Lead and input into technical discussions.
Requirements
- 6 years of previous commercial experience with manual and automation testing.
- 3 years of experience in test automation.
- Experience working with Cypress.io and/or Playwright.
- Good knowledge of at least one JavaScript programming language.
- Excellent understanding of testing techniques, strong experience with manual testing, and some experience in non-functional testing.
- Knowledge of good practices in testing and the ability to use them in a practical way.
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical people.
- Ability to explain complicated technical concepts to non-technical people.
- Experience in API testing using Postman.
- Ability to mentor and guide more junior testers.
- Hands-on experience with Databases/Advanced Excel is a big plus.
- Experience working with large datasets or large customer base is a big plus.
- Root cause analysis.
- Test reporting.
- Knowledge of CI/CD setup, SQL databases, Monitoring services (e.g., Rollbar, New Relic), Test design, programming languages like JavaScript, TypeScript, NodeJS, Test planning, and QA strategy.
- Knowledge of Python, Java is an added advantage.
