Telecollections Professional

The Tele-Collections professional is responsible for facilitating the company's loan recovery process through efficient and timely collections activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage customer accounts for collections via phone-based communication (outbound/inbound).
  • Follow up with customers on overdue payments and negotiate mutually agreeable repayment terms.
  • Work effectively to ensure collections are completed within the stipulated timeframe.
  • Identify and escalate potential issues that may hinder collections and collaborate with other departments to resolve them.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer communications, actions, and status of the collections.
  • Meet and exceed monthly collections targets while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure all collections activities comply with legal and company policies and regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2-8 years of experience in tele-collections, preferably with experience handling Bucket X, 1 & 2.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to manage difficult situations and customer concerns effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of calls and work under pressure to meet targets.
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
  • Basic proficiency with MS Office and other relevant software tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with loan collections, particularly in the SME or personal loan sectors.
  • Familiarity with collections processes, regulations, and relevant legal requirements.
