Senior Associate Position Overview

As a Senior Associate, you will be responsible for collaborating closely with the asset management team to oversee the day-to-day operations of existing assets.

The role entails monitoring and analysing cash flows, tracking and analysing asset performance, managing risk, and overseeing third-party partners.

A key aspect of this position is portfolio onboarding, where reporting, analytics, and communication of status and asset-level activity are tracked and summarised for various groups, including asset management and investment teams.

Collaboration with the asset management team and external business partners is essential in facilitating and reviewing performance, suggesting value enhancements as needed.

Additionally, coordinating with third parties and internal teams on lender reporting, loan covenant monitoring, and compliance with credit agreements is crucial.

Key tasks include outlining key terms in credit and purchase agreements and executing operational efficiencies with both internal and external teams.

Effective management of funding and distribution activity with internal/external teams is also necessary.

Real Estate Technology Project Management is an integral part of this role, requiring close collaboration with the client's technology team and third-party consultants on high-priority real estate technology implementation initiatives.

A detailed review of chart of account mapping to real estate asset trial balance accounts during the implementation stage is required.

Key Skills and Requirements:
  • Sound experience in asset management or related fields (6-8 years)
  • Strong accounting knowledge with advanced MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills
  • Strong financial and analytical skills with a well-developed understanding of key investment performance drivers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to cultivate trust and build strong partnerships with different counterparts
Advantageous Skills:
  • Knowledge of third-party databases such as Yardi, Argus, CoStar, Real Page, Bloomberg, Alteryx, Tableau, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with VBA macros
Academic Requirements:
  • CPA / CFA / MBA or equivalent qualification in accounting & finance from a reputed institution
