Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as an IoT Business Opportunities Specialist. This is a unique opportunity for someone who is passionate about identifying and capitalizing on emerging trends in the Internet of Things (IoT) space.

About the Role

  • This position will be responsible for conducting thorough market analysis and landscape assessments to identify potential business opportunities.
  • The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in strategy, innovation, and entrepreneurship, with a deep understanding of the IoT technology stack and its applications.
  • They will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Analysis & Landscape Assessment: Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify emerging trends and business opportunities in the IoT space.
  • Opportunity Development: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and refine business concepts, including market sizing, competitive analysis, and revenue projections.
  • Strategic Incubation & Execution: Work with cross-functional teams to execute proof-of-concepts, pilots, and other initiatives to validate business opportunities.
  • Ecosystem Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with external partners, including startups, academia, and industry experts, to stay informed about emerging trends and innovations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a strong plus.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a strategy role within a technology context, preferably in IoT or related fields.
  • Proven experience in market analysis, new venture development, or managing early-stage innovation projects.
  • Deep understanding of the IoT technology stack, competitive landscape, and key market drivers.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with experience building business cases from the ground up.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and ability to thrive in ambiguity, developing structure around poorly defined problems.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience taking a new product or business from concept through to launch.
