Credit Control Manager

About this role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Credit Control Manager to lead our credit control function. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting credit policies, evaluating credit risks, managing a team, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Credit Management:
    • Develop and implement credit control policies and procedures.
    • Evaluate customer creditworthiness through financial analysis and risk assessments.
    • Approve or recommend credit limits and payment terms.
  • Receivables Management:
    • Monitor the accounts receivable ledger to ensure timely collection of debts.
    • Review and reconcile customer accounts regularly.
    • Ensure accurate and timely allocation of receipts.
  • Collections:
    • Lead and manage the collections team to follow up on outstanding invoices.
    • Resolve invoice disputes and escalate problematic cases to management.
    • Maintain regular contact with key customers to secure payments.
  • Reporting & Analysis:
    • Prepare reports on receivables, aging, DSO, bad debt provisions, and collection efficiency.
    • Highlight high-risk accounts and overdue balances to senior management.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Work closely with Sales, Legal, and Customer Service teams to resolve credit issues and support customer relationships.
    • Liaise with external credit rating agencies and legal advisors when required.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Manage, train, and motivate the credit control team.
    • Set performance KPIs and review team performance regularly.
  • Compliance:
    • Ensure adherence to company credit policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Support internal and external audit processes.
