Job Title: Financial Analyst Insurance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for validating end-to-end financial processes, with a strong emphasis on cash management and system testing.

The ideal candidate will have experience in insurance finance systems and strong analytical skills. You will work closely with the Finance and Technology teams to ensure the integrity of financial data and compliance with industry standards throughout the programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Penny Testing: Validate transactions down to the pence/cent level, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Cash Management: Manage cash flows, reconcile subledgers, and verify postings from policy admin, claims, and reinsurance systems.
  • Treasury Payments: Test outward payments, credit control, and cash application to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Data Validation: Perform high-volume insurance transaction data validation to ensure data integrity across multiple source systems.
  • Defect Logging: Log, track, and retest defects in JIRA, collaborating with IT and finance teams to resolve issues quickly.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 3+ years in finance/ERP testing within the insurance or financial services sector.
  • Skills: Hands-on experience with penny testing, reconciliations, and cash management workflows.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of insurance finance flows: premiums, claims, reinsurance, and bordereaux processing.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or IT (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Platform Experience: Familiarity with Workday Financials, SAP, Oracle Financials, or other insurance finance platforms.
  • Testing Certification: ISTQB or similar testing certification.
