Job Profile

Job Title: Mechanical Engineering Discipline Team Leader

Job Code: RSD

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of engineers and technicians in a given Mechanical Engineering discipline.
  • Ensure the right level of capabilities, competencies, and expertise within the team.
  • Deploy and implement state-of-the-art standards, processes, methods, and tools in the team.
  • Participate in the improvement of standards, processes, methods, and tools in the Mechanical Engineering discipline.
  • Check and audit the implementation of standards (RAISE).

Management and Competency

  • Manage team members through yearly reviews, meetings, missions, and objectives.
  • Define necessary qualifications and training plans for the team with management support.
  • Allocate team staff in project activities.
  • Propose trainings and career evolutions with management support.
  • Contribute to the recruitment of team members.

Budget and Efficiency

  • Propose and follow the budget for the team.
  • Responsible for the Team Efficiency Plan and achievements.

Process, Methodology, Tools, and Equipment

  • Deploy the Mechanical Engineering process, methodology, and tools defined by the Engineering discipline Manager or Director.
  • Participate in the definition of processes, methods, and tools necessary for project handling.
  • Ensure the full deployment of the 5 axes methodology.
  • Participate in the improvement of standards, methods, and tools in the Mechanical Engineering discipline.

Standardization and Robust Design

  • Support the RAISE team by ensuring knowledge, training, and implementation of standards.
  • Review and challenge Destandardization requests before release.
  • Ensure that each design achieves the highest level of Robust design.
