The successful candidate will be responsible for executing projects in the actuarial space, working closely with clients to deliver high-quality results. Key responsibilities include:

  • Project Execution: Execute actuarial projects in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring quality and accuracy of deliverables.">
  • Client Support: Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on actuarial matters, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.">
  • Model Development: Develop and maintain cutting-edge Excel models to support client product features and relevant regulations.">
  • Research and Specialisms: Lend support on strands of research and specialisms work aimed at providing key insights to help clients and consultants.">
  • Business Planning: Develop proposals for winning new clients and engagements, working closely with the team to develop consistent standards and best practice.">

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Deep Technical Knowledge: Develop and maintain deep technical knowledge in Excel modelling skills, presenting internally and externally on areas of technical specialist knowledge.">
  • Technical Understanding: Good technical understanding of at least one of the following areas: Reserving techniques, Pricing and product filing, Business planning and capital modeling, or IFRS 17 implementation.">
  • People Skills: Proven communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to put across complex technical issues and solutions to non-actuaries.">
  • Behavioral Traits: Self-motivated, uses own initiative and is outcome-focused, with proven ability to balance priorities and manage many competing demands to agreed deadlines and to the required level of quality.">
