Job Description:

As a seasoned financial professional, you will oversee the delivery of accurate and timely net asset values (NAVs) while performing various reconciliations between clients' general ledger data and market data providers.

This role combines product knowledge with technology expertise, requiring strong accounting skills and effective communication abilities.

You will be responsible for coordinating with clients and external sources to resolve break issues, maintaining quality delivery in line with standard operating procedures.

The role demands adaptability under tight deadlines, exceptional communication skills, and a strong understanding of financial markets products.

  • Manage open-ended and closed-ended hedge funds by integrating trades and reconciling client data.
  • Account for corporate actions trades and prepare daily/weekly/monthly GAV/NAV reports.
  • Conduct capital activity booking, market value reconciliation, profit and loss computation, expense accounting, dividend accrual reconciliation, and bond coupon accrual reconciliation.
  • Confirm trial balance ledgers with sub-ledgers and demonstrate an in-depth understanding of preparing and reviewing financial statements (US GAAP, IFRS).

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Must Have:

  • A Chartered Accountant or MBA with 5+ years of experience.
  • In-depth understanding of US GAAP and IFRS financial statement preparation and review.
  • Knowledge of financial and capital markets products, including equity, bonds, futures, options, and FX forwards.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and formulas.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Good to Have:

  • Certification in financial markets or products.
  • Experience with general ledger accounting software.
  • Mutual fund accounting or audit experience.
