Job Title: Tooling Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Tooling Manager to join our team. This role involves overseeing the development, implementation and maintenance of tooling solutions across various projects.

Main Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify tooling needs and develop comprehensive solutions.
  • Evaluate and manage costs associated with tooling, including design, manufacturing and maintenance expenses.
  • Analyze and propose optimal tooling solutions for industrialization projects.
  • Develop functional specifications and obtain approvals from relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage the procurement process, including sending documented purchase requests and participating in RFQ analysis.
  • Perform tooling design or subcontract it to external vendors.
  • Validate designs through reviews and ensure manufactured tooling meets quality standards.
  • Train manufacturing teams on operating procedures and follow up on implementation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as mechanics or automation.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, manufacturing or plant maintenance, preferably in the railway industry.
  • Technical expertise in process and manufacturing engineering, CAD and PLM tools (CATIA, DELMIA), quality, EHS standards and ergonomics.
  • Working knowledge of IS common tools and process FMEA, QRQC.
