DevOps Lead Job Description

The DevOps Lead is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our company's infrastructure, ensuring seamless collaboration between development, QA, and product teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing efficient DevOps pipelines across development, testing, and production environments.
  • Driving automation of infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
  • Managing and optimizing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar.
  • Ensuring smooth containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, or similar.
  • Establishing security best practices within the cloud environment.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align DevOps practices with business goals.
  • Leading incident response, root cause analysis, and post-mortem activities for critical production issues.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 6+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform and its core services.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar.
  • Solid knowledge of containerization and orchestration – Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with source control systems like Git and platforms like GitHub or Azure Repos.
  • Understanding of networking, security, and firewall configurations within cloud environments.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in a collaborative DevOps culture.
