Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing integrated interpretation of available geo-science data, building a robust geological model and generating multiple development scenarios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review stratigraphic/coal seam correlations, structural interpretation, and quality control of various geological & seam parameter maps.
  • Build static geo-cellular model incorporating available field data.
  • Conduct volumetric estimation in multiple cases capturing the range of uncertainties.
  • Quality control of map-based and model-based oil-in-place estimations.
  • Generate alternate development scenarios with respect to well type, spacing, etc.
  • Review geological prognosis and well trajectories for development drilling.
  • Provide technical input for business development plans.

Required Qualifications:

  • M.Sc / M.Tech or PhD in Geology.
  • Minimum 8-12 years relevant industry experience working on Interpretation, Geo-modelling, Well Planning and Operations.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced geologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing integrated interpretation of available geo-science data, building a robust geological model and generating multiple development scenarios. Key responsibilities include reviewing stratigraphic/coal seam correlations, structural interpretation, and quality control of various geological & seam parameter maps. Additional responsibilities include building static geo-cellular models, conducting volumetric estimations, and generating alternate development scenarios.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geology and at least 8-12 years of relevant industry experience working on Interpretation, Geo-modelling, Well Planning and Operations. A Master's degree in Geology or related field is required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills.
