Cloud Database Administrator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to fill the role of Cloud Database Administrator. As a fresher, you will learn and assist in managing, monitoring, and optimizing databases hosted on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

This is an ideal opportunity for candidates passionate about database technologies and cloud infrastructure, eager to grow in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for provisioning, configuring, and maintaining cloud-hosted databases, monitoring performance and availability, ensuring data security, backup, and recovery processes, and troubleshooting basic database issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in provisioning, configuring, and maintaining cloud-hosted databases.
  • Monitor database performance and availability using cloud-native tools.
  • Ensure data security, backup, and recovery processes are implemented and adhered to.
  • Support migration of databases to the cloud from on-premises systems.
  • Assist in creating users, roles, and permission policies for database access.
  • Troubleshoot basic database issues with guidance from senior DBAs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with at least one cloud platform (AWS / Azure / GCP) and their database offerings.
  • Knowledge of database backup, restore, and disaster recovery fundamentals.
  • Awareness of database security best practices.
  • Good problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
