Structural Engineering Leadership Role

The Senior Structural Engineer will lead and manage a team of junior structural engineers, coordinating with appointed consultants and peer reviewers to ensure timely delivery of engineering designs within quality and cost parameters.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Leadership & Team Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of junior structural engineers. Coordinate with the appointed structural engineering consultant and peer reviewer.
  • Provide strategic direction, technical guidance, and performance reviews for the structural team/consultant.
  • Project Management & Execution:
  • Manage structural engineering projects from concept through completion including scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory authorities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure timely delivery of engineering designs, plans, and documents within quality and cost parameters.
  • Conduct technical reviews, quality assurance checks, and risk assessments for ongoing projects.
  • Structural Design & Analysis:
  • Lead and review the development of structural design for buildings, retaining walls, and other structures.
  • Oversee the preparation of detailed engineering calculations, load assessments, and finite element analysis using software tools (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, SAFE, RCDC).
  • Validate design assumptions and methodologies against applicable international and local standards.
  • Optimize structural systems and material.
  • Client & Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders on structural matters.
  • Participate in design charrettes, pre-construction meetings, and construction progress meetings.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and recommendations to senior management through the appointed consultants.
Requirements:
  • Educational Background:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Experience:
  • At least 5 years of experience in structural engineering with a focus on leadership roles.
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency in software tools such as ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, SAFE, RCDC.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
