Lead Structural Design Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Lead Structural Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing and supervising structural design projects from concept to completion.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering with expertise in designing and analyzing complex structures. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all designs meet or exceed client expectations.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and supervise structural design projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
  • Develop and implement effective project management strategies to optimize team performance.
  • Collaborate with designers and engineers to create innovative solutions to complex structural design challenges.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all design projects.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior engineers and designers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in structural design engineering, with at least 5 years as a lead engineer.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality designs on time and within budget.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with commercial engineering design software such as STAAD, SAP 2000, and SACS.

  • Structural design and analysis.

  • Communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Time management and organization.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and codes (API, ASCE, ACI, AISC, BS, EURO).
