Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Tax Strategist to lead our tax planning and compliance efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing direct tax strategies to optimize our company's tax position.

Your primary focus will be on researching, interpreting, and applying relevant tax laws and regulations to ensure full compliance. You will also prepare and review direct tax returns, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.

Additionally, you will manage tax audits and coordinate responses and documentation for tax authorities. Your expertise will be invaluable in advising internal teams on tax implications of business decisions and transactions.

You will play a critical role in monitoring changes in direct tax laws and assessing their business impact. Your ability to identify tax saving opportunities while minimizing tax liabilities and risks will be essential in driving strategic decisions that optimize our company's tax position.

In this role, you will provide guidance and training to finance and business teams on direct tax matters. Your strong analytical skills and attention to detail will enable you to ensure robust documentation and compliance with reporting requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
  • In-depth knowledge of Indian direct tax laws and regulatory frameworks
  • Proven experience in tax planning, compliance, and handling tax audits
  • Strong research and analytical skills to interpret complex tax legislation
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in mentoring or guiding junior finance professionals
