Job Title: Tax Advisory ExpertWe are seeking a talented tax professional to join our team as an Associate. As an Associate, you will be responsible for providing expert tax advisory services to clients across various industries.The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex tax concepts effectively.Key Responsibilities:
  • Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and direct tax advisory on complex issues such as mergers, demergers, spin-offs, business transfers, etc.
  • Preparation and review of transaction documentation
  • Conducting direct tax due diligence
  • International tax advisory with a focus on Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS), Multilateral Convention to Implement Tax Treaty Related Measures to Prevent BEPS (MLI), General Anti-Avoidance Rule (GAAR), Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement (DTAA), domestic tax laws, and FEMA/regulatory issues.
  • Inbound and outbound structuring
  • Treaty interpretations
  • Researching varied income-tax issues, including preparing case for opinions for briefing senior counsels on complex direct tax issues
  • Preparing deliverables in the form of slide decks, opinions, notes, and memos
  • Direct tax litigation assistance, including drafting submissions and briefing senior counsels
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
