Indirect Tax Professional

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Indirect Tax Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in law and 1-3 years of post-qualification experience in indirect tax litigation.

The role involves handling tax matters, assisting clients, and preparing submissions and appeals.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Handle tax matters with regard to preparation of submissions, replies to notices, appeals etc., meeting the tax authorities, representation during appeals along with seniors etc.
  • Assist the client in responding to the department during the course of enquiry, investigation and audit.
  • Prepare reply to Show cause notice/audit replies.
  • Meet with the tax officers for hearing as and when required
  • Prepare tax appeals to be filed at the Joint Commissioner (Appeals)
  • Prepare tax appeals to be filed at the Court (i.e. Tribunal, High Court / Supreme Court)
  • Assist seniors for representation before various judicial forums.
  • Conduct comprehensive research on various topics.

Requirements:

  • Law Graduate from a known Law School with a strong academic track record.
  • 1-3 years of post-qualification experience in Indirect Tax would be preferred i.e. GST, Customs, etc.
